IV Vitamin Drips
AT ROOTS TO BRANCHES WHOLE HEALTH CLINIC
A thoughtful approach to IV nutrient therapy, provided in a calm, supportive setting with the guidance of a Naturoapthic Doctor
What is IV Therapy?
At Roots to Branches, we believe part of your wellness is rooted in the details of how your body functions at the cellular level. IV therapy allows the delivery of essential vitamins, minerals, and amino acids directly into your bloodstream for optimal absorption, so your body can use what it needs right away.
IV Therapy: Targeted Support When You Need It Most
Whether you’re running on empty or feeling frustrated by doing everything “right,” these are often the times when people start looking for different options to feel better and stop spinning their wheels. Not because they want a shortcut — but because they need support.

Efficient Nutrient Delivery
IV therapy delivers nutrients directly into the bloodstream rather than relying on digestion, making it an appealing option for people looking for targeted nutritional support.

Higher Doses
Because nutrients bypass the digestive tract, IV therapy can provide higher amounts than oral supplements, which can be difficult to tolerate at those levels.

Personalized Formulations
Each infusion is thoughtfully tailored, under clinical supervision, to your goals and health needs, whether you’re focusing on supporting energy, immune function, recovery, or overall vitality.

Comfortable & Calming Experience
Settle in with a tea, a book, music, or a few quiet moments to work — your IV session is designed to feel like a pause in your busy day.
Each drip is a potential starting point. Your Naturopathic Doctor will take the time to understand your health history and goals, then recommend ingredients that best fit you—adjusting along the way to ensure it feels aligned with your body and needs.
Reasons to Consider IV Therapy
IV therapy is built on a simple principle: when your cells have the hydration and nutrients they need, your body is given the opportunity to function better.
Your cells rely on vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, amino acids, and hydration to make energy, repair tissue, and support immune and stress responses. Every day life can place extra demands on your body.
Stress, illness, hormonal changes, poor sleep, hard training, or digestive troubles can all affect how well you absorb nutrients—or increase what your body needs to function at its best.

Here are some answers to some frequently asked questions
What is IV Therapy
IV therapy allows the delivery of higher doses of essential vitamins, minerals, and/or amino acids directly into your bloodstream for optimal absorption, so your body can use what it needs right away.
How does it feel? Does it hurt?
Most people feel only a brief pinch when the IV is placed. Any discomfort throughout the treatment you may feel can be reduced by slowing down the drip or adding a hot pack to your arm. Generally, IV treatments are very comfortable—many clients relax, read, work quietly, or enjoy a tea during their session.
Is it safe?
Yes. IV therapy at Roots to Branches is provided by Naturopathic Doctors who have completed additional training, examinations, and certification to administer IVs safely. Your Naturopathic Doctor will review your health history and labs to ensure IV therapy is a safe option for your goals.
How often do I need a treatment?
That depends on your individual needs and goals. Some people come in occasionally, while others may benefit from a short series of treatments. Your Naturopathic Doctor will make personalized recommendations based on your health history and treatment goals.
How long does a session take?
Most IV appointments last between 45–90 minutes, depending on the formulation.
What nutrients can be used for IV Therapy?
IV formulations may include a variety of vitamins (such as Vitamin C + B Vitamins), minerals (such as calcium and magnesium), antioxidants (such as glutathione), and/or amino acids (like carnitine and taurine). Your Naturopathic Doctor will determine which ingredients are appropriate for you based on your assessment and bloodwork.
Do IV’s replace oral nutrition and supplementation?
No—IV therapy is meant to complement, not replace, good nutrition and oral supplements when appropriate. Your care plan will always focus on foundational health habits, too.
How much do IV’s cost?
Pricing varies depending on the type of IV and ingredients used. You’ll receive clear pricing information before booking, and our team is happy to walk you through the options.
Are IV’s covered under my extended health care insurance?
Coverage varies by provider and plan. A portion of your costs may be eligible for services provided by a Naturopathic Doctor. We recommend checking with your insurer directly, prior to receiving your naturopathic IV treatment.
I am interested in IV’s. How do I make an appointment?
You can book your IV Consultation appointment online or contact our clinic team to get started. This first consultation with a Naturopathic Doctor is to determine whether IV therapy is right for you and, if so, what IV formulation is best for your needs.
Do I need to prepare for my IV?
We generally recommend being well-hydrated and having eaten beforehand. Your Naturopathic Doctor will give you any other specific instructions before your appointment.
Are there side effects?
Side effects are uncommon and will be fully discussed with your Naturopathic Doctor before treatment. The most common is mild tenderness or a small bruise at the IV site. Most people find treatments very comfortable.
Is IV nutrient therapy just a celebrity trend?
No—while IV vitamin drips have become popular in the media, their use goes back decades. In the mid-20th century, physicians like Frederick Klenner explored intravenous vitamin C in clinical practice, and John Myers helped pioneer nutrient infusions that later inspired the well-known “Myers’ Cocktail” for concerns such as fatigue and low mood.
Today’s IV therapy builds on this history with modern screening, safety standards, and individualized, practitioner-guided care.
